Status Cards are tarot-like cards that are displayed at the beginning of every chapter. They depict a certain character in the story and a relevant noun. Your choices during the game affect what card shows up.

Card Art Requirements
Hope card
This card depicts Zhong in a green field with stars around him and the sun shining behind him over the hills. He's on his knees with his hands together, appearing to pray. [Give reason why this could be.] Chapter 2 if you did well on the investigations but not well enough for Duty, Chapter 4 if Anna, Lorem, and Remy are all alive, and Chapter 5 under some circumstances (if a good end is possible?) [WIP]
Conflict card
This card depicts Maverick with an angry or displeased look on his face, wearing his police badge, surrounded by a brown night, with clouds and a yellow moon above him. This card could symbolise his conflict with the player and his suspicions of them, or his own conflict between his sense of justice and his job as a police officer, since he feels a sense of betrayal at being put on leave after the Reza incident. Chapter 5 if you have not seen any endings.
Duty card
This card depicts Sebastian in his police hat with a magnifying glass, as if he's investigating, in an orange background with possibly a sun setting behind him. This card symbolises Sebastian's strong sense of duty and loyalty as a police officer. Chapter 1 after a Good ending, Chapter 2 if you did well on investigations, or Chapter 5 if you have seen an ending, can't do a good ending, don't have enough evil points for the bad ending, and don't qualify for Enlightenment.
Grief card
This card depicts an upset Remy looking at a photo in a photo frame while holding his tie. The background has a cloud with blue stripes coming out like rain. This card symbolises Remy's grief after the death of his fiance - one of the photos the player can see in his apartment shows him with her. Chapter 3 if you have seen Remy's first two scenes and his status is Good or Impressed, Chapter 4 if he is still Good or Impressed, and chapter 5 if his Good ending is possible.
Leadership card
This card depicts Bryce standing on what appears to be a stage, wearing his police badge and inspecting [I have no idea what that is]. This card symbolises Bryce's responsibilities as Chief of Police and as a leader to his department. Chapter 3 if you've seen Bryce's first two scenes and his status is Good or Impressed, Chapter 4 if he is still Good or Impressed, and chapter 5 if his Good ending is possible.
Intuition card
This card depicts Lorem leaping into the air, over what are likely some autumn trees, with a starry night sky in the background, appearing to be reaching for the moon. There are also curtains at the edges which give the impression of a stage performance. [I don't really know what this symbolises exactly.] Chapter 3 if you've seen Lorem's first two scenes and his status is Good or Impressed, Chapter 4 if he is still Good or Impressed, and chapter 5 if his Good ending is possible.
Loss card
This card depicts Maverick's brother Miles laying down on a stage with a spotlight on him, possibly dead, although there is no blood and no visible indications of injury. This card symbolises Maverick's loss after he had to kill his own brother, when Miles become cannibalistic and primal due to a degenerative disease. Chapter 4 if Anna, Remy, and/or Lorem are dead.
Passion card
This card depicts Anna lying in a bed in a somewhat seductive manner, with hospital-related symbols in the background such as the hook for a drip, a painting with an electrocardiogram scan on it, and a single pink flower. This card symbolises Anna's passion as a scientist and as a person to live her life, while the background objects loom over her, as her cancer puts her in the position of being ill, weak, and helpless - the one situation she's always feared and tried to avoid. Chapter 3 if you've seen Anna's first two scenes and her status is Good or Impressed, Chapter 4 if she is still Good or Impressed, and chapter 5 if her Good ending is possible.
Superstition card
This card depicts Adine on a stage holding the blueprints the player obtains for her, with a claw to her muzzle in thought. In the background the sun shines rays on her. This card symbolises Adine's belief in Humanism and her own superstitions about things like tarot cards and the supernatural. [This might be wrong i don't remember if she actually believes in that stuff.] The sun represents her constant optimism and happy demeanour. Chapter 3 if you've seen Adine's first two scenes and her status is Good or Impressed, Chapter 4 if she is still Good or Impressed, and chapter 5 if her Good ending is possible.
Pride card
This card depicts Damion wearing his lab coat with a smug smirk, standing on a stage with purple-leaved trees in the background and a few stripes of blue and purple. This card symbolises Damion's pride as a scientist and his inability to accept Anna's prodigal abilities, making him jealous of her. [The symbolism definitely needs re-writing because i cannot remember his character very well.] On the path to the evil ending (possible in chapters 2-5).
Trauma card
This card depicts Vara walking on a dirt path through a field, with hills and grey clouds in the distance. This card symbolises Vara's loss of her mother, the clouds and imposing hills representing the looming trauma as her mother is already gravely ill. Chapter 1 after a bad ending, and chapter 2 if you don't qualify for any other chapter 2 cards.
Enlightenment card
This card depicts Vara's mother with a very bright shining sun above her and pink flowers around her. This card symbolises the player gaining enough knowledge to obtain the True End and prevent any unnecessary deaths. The card represents having knowledge of troubles beforehand to prevent it. If you have seen all the Good endings or have seen the True ending, you always get this card.
Inception card
This card depicts Amely hatching from an egg on a stage, with a sun and an apple tree bearing fruit above her. The fruit/tree depicted may be a reference to the Tree of Knowledge from biblical lore, indicating that 'forbidden knowledge' has borne fruit, such as Amely, with the sun potentially representing hope. Chapter 1 on a fresh save file.
